| Designed to be the most Comprehensive,Versatile, and Fun martial arts system of all time The name New Century represents an age of modern refinement combined with traditional teachings that date back hundreds of years. Kenpo forms the basis of our self defense program. Kenpo is a Japanese and Chines word meaning FIST LAW or the ART OF THE FIST. Kenpo was an ancient Chinese Shoalin martial art known as Ch'uan Fa. Through hundreds of years of refinements Kenpo has arrived to the United States as a combination of Five Cultures: Chinese, Japanese, Okinawan, Hawaiian and American. Kenpo is known to be the best street survival program. The heart of Kenpo is self defense techniques based on attacks with corresponding counters. There are hundreds of these techniques based on natural human reflex. Through time, repetition, and a wide variety of training drills we make these acts impulsive. This natural action is a Zen concept known as Wushin or Munin, which means "No Mind" or "Or no thought". "You can't think and fight at the same time".- Al Tracy, Kenpo Master Research has proven that it takes a year of constant repetition in order to develop permanent motor memory. The educational format in the NCKK system is designed to disguise repetition in order for you to develop a lifetime of automatic relex action. The odds are good you will NOT remember exactly how to do a particular move in a fight, but always remember, Kenpo self defense techniques are not entirely for self defense. They are a teaching reference so you can learn and practice the target area that go along the different forms used throughout out the kenpo. Here are the basics of Kenpo: KENPO KARATE Pre-set Self defense technique/ Practical Kata (Forms) / Efficient use of Hand strikes (In a life or death situation- HANDS RULE) KENPO Sport Jujitsu A full array of Sport Jujitsu Joint Locks and Throws, as well as pressure points. KICK BOXING and THAI BOXING Proper form of Basic Boxing/ Kick boxing and Thai Boxing/ Realistic Pre-Set Combinations/ Bag and equipment workouts/ Two Person Fight DRILLS/ Semi- Contact SPARRING/ Fun and Flashy "Movie Star" kicking techniques/ FILIPINO WEAPONS: Learning how to defend yourself with Sticks and Knives plus some great Weapon defenses and disarms. AIKIDO WEAPON DEFENSES Learning how to use opponents own energy/force to disarm clubs, knives and guns. JAPANESE Sport Jujitsu -Combined with NCKK Self Defence Techniques. Stand up Thai Boxing Basics into Judo/Wrestling Take downs and Throws/ into Full Submission Wrestling Holds/ finishing up with how to Escape from the hold. BRAZILIAN Sport Jujitsu DRILLS _Ground Fighting Two person drills specifically designed to enhance proper Floor Balance, Escapes and endurance. KUNG FU (soft style) FORMS Empty hand and Kung Fu weapon sets. Basic Hard Style Karate Blocking use to train proper forms.
